Here’s an example of a bit of pointed-pen calligraphy, notice the oblique pen holder (with Speedball/Hunt #101 nib) and ink jar.

This is an example of a flourished ‘superfeather’ – it’s not especially super since I didn’t really plan it out in advance, but it does show some of the ways these can be decorated.

HolidayCard

Here is an example of a calligraphic holiday greeting card.

ThankYouNoteP

Here is an example of a short ‘thank you’ note someone learning German might write to their Aunt Jessica.

Here is an example of a miniature award certificate, of the type that one might hand out to folks for a job well done.

SpencerianBold_graphic2This example shows the Spencerian Bold style, in which every downstroke has shading.  This is based upon a style of Louis Madarasz with some additional styling I’ve cultivated.  The main text was done with a well-worn Speedball/Hunt #101 nib.  The credit was done with a Speedball/Hunt #102 ‘crowquill’ in a special low-angle pen holder – not exactly a nib one would normally try to do calligraphy with. 🙂
